Mrs. Wendy Torres, BCBC, is a Board Certified Biblical Counselor with a thriving private practice in Grand Prairie, Texas, since 2009. A graduate of Light University, she specializes in individual, marriage, and family therapy, with expertise in areas such as depression, grief, conflict resolution, addictions, infidelity, premarital counseling, and women’s challenges.
Recognized as one of the Top 3 Marriage Counselors in Grand Prairie from 2016–2025, Wendy is also a seasoned media host. She has led syndicated radio shows in Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, and internationally in Australia, Africa, Pakistan, and the UK, as well as a weekly program on Victory Television Network. She is currently preparing to launch a new podcast and has authored two children’s books addressing grief and loss.
With more than 34 years in ministry, Wendy serves as an elder in her church and volunteers with The Pregnancy Resource Center in Grand Prairie. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, co-partners with Marriage Today, and has written for Manna Express and Heart and Soul Magazine. Her speaking engagements include Christian Marriage and Women’s Conferences across the nation.
Wendy’s work has earned her recognition by International Who’s Who Among Professional and Business Women and honors such as the 2014 REVIVE Award and “Woman of the Week” by Single On Purpose Ministry in Dallas.
She has completed advanced training with The Gottman Institute, including certifications in conflict resolution, affair and trauma recovery, and The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work.
Married with a blended family of eight, Wendy is an interactive, solution-focused counselor who integrates biblical principles, prayer, and proven therapeutic techniques to equip her clients for healing, growth, and lasting transformation.
