K.D. Sturdevant is an author, military veteran, surgical nurse, and faith-driven storyteller whose extraordinary journey spans battlefield service, trauma medicine, mentorship, and creative ministry.
She began her medical career as a surgical technician in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm and later became a trauma nurse, serving in fast-paced hospital environments where courage, compassion, and faith often intersected. Those frontline experiences shaped her powerful perspective on pain, perseverance, purpose, and the presence of God in life’s most critical moments.
Her debut novel, The Nine, was nearly two decades in the making—born from a quiet encounter with God and developed into a compelling story of spiritual warfare, truth, and divine purpose. Through bold, cinematic storytelling, K.D. seeks to reveal God’s presence, expose the enemy’s strategies, and inspire believers to rise with courage and spiritual authority.
K.D. brings a distinctive voice to conversations about faith under fire, military service, healthcare, overcoming adversity, answering God’s call, and the transformative power of Christian storytelling. She and her husband, Jesse, serve together in creative ministry.
