FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 12, 2018 – Dallas, TX – International organization, Christian Women in Media Association (CWIMA) is launching a new initiative this year, revamping the international group’s current meeting structure. Instead of Regional Connections four times per year, CWIMA will hold “Connect” Groups across the world. The CWIMA Connect sites are currently located in nine major cities in the United States including Dallas, Hollywood, New York City, Minneapolis, Nashville, and Baton Rouge. Internationally, CWIMA also calls London home.

CWIMA Connect Groups are an informal gathering of female media professionals, or those who would like to venture into the media world. The events will include a light snack, will be moderately priced, and casual. In addition, each Connect meeting will include valuable networking, training, as well as a spiritual message. “We have had overwhelming support for the change we are making in our meetings,” said Christian Women in Media Founder, Suellen Roberts. “In today’s busy world, women on the go desire a more relaxed setting, which we will provide through our Connect groups.”

In 2018-2019, the CWIMA Connect groups will meet on the same day throughout the world. Meeting dates are September 20, November 15, January 17 and March 21. You do not have to be a member to attend. According to CWIMA Vice-President and National Connection Director, Tracey Mitchell, the plan is for expansion. “We hope to have fifteen groups in place by the end of the year, both in the United States and abroad.” said Mitchell.
